It's okay Mr. Follower dude, you *can* actually get xp if you believe hard enough. You can move up the ranks to second level warrior in no time! Heck, there might even be a second level warrior slot open right now! If not, kill whoever is in that spot.

Also, I count 9 followers so he's either one short or has one too many... Though I suppose that one could be doing useful stuff like he's supposed to, instead of clogging up the combat with more rolls.

I've always wanted to make a grapple specialist monk, take the leadership feat, have some followers be a small group of bards to jam on with my "entrance music" and the rest just be random fans that I can throw merchandise at.

Basically, I wanna make an adventurer in the style of a pro wrestler. It would amuse me.

I see nothing wrong with that.

Actually they can gain XP just if they gain enough to level to the point where they no longer fit in your leadership allotment then they leave and someone else comes by to take their place.

Apparently they don't: Followers don’t earn experience and thus don’t gain levels. That text is in both 3.5 and pathfinder leadership.
Your idea is much more logical, and therefore obviously not true, because when has anything ever worked logically in D&D type stuff :P
