Sometimes, straight up murder solves many problems.

It solves MANY a problem indeed. Sometimes even the problems that come from straight up murder. If you murder everyone who knows about it, sometimes that solves all the problems. Murder is a great tool to have at your disposal.

Sounds more like Planned Parenthood to me.

Make no sense? Well, that is what happens when we start making simple jokes political. S'why I recommend we don't do that. ;)

Doesn't flow as well with the joke. also endorses the wrong tools for killing all the witnesses. would work better if we were discussing rakes, latex or hangers.

sorry bout that. If it makes you feel better, next time, i will go with S&W, Mora knifes or Stark industries for supplies in the murder jokes, so it feels less political

Much obliged; my point was that neither joke actually worked unless you're an adherent to a particular ideology. Unless the point about the NRA one was you could spin it both ways (guns = murder aid vs. guns = murder deterrent). It the latter was the case, I do apologize for being thick.

"a joke turned way to serious, "
guns are a single function tool, firing a metal thingy fast that can... kill...stuff (or being fairly poor improvised hamer). the deterrent protection from a gun is murder based, or based on the threat of murder. (rule one, don't point your gun at something you don't want to destroy)

so both ways, it's "murder (or in the nras viewpoint, the threat of murder) can solve anything, even murder"

but it was meant as a lighthearted joke about murder, and nra was could just as easily been exchanged with some less politically charged party championing or producing tools that can be used for murder with great efficiency, such as a producer of kitchen knives or a manure company

sadly, most people don't know many good companies that sell manure, making NRA a good choice due to it being easy to recognise, and any joke that gets overly explained ceases to be funny

"Murder".

You keep using that word: I do not think it means what you think it means. ;)

Murder solves the problems of bumbling underlings and annoying heroes.

For the former I recommend murder through carefully crafted orders (keeps morale up in the long run), except in cases of gross incompetence where goo... er effective underlings will actually want you to eliminate the bumbler.

When they don't, far better for everyone to see the bumbler appear to off himself via his bumbling or fall as some sort of martyr. Yeah, even if you're just knocking over banks for easy money: a competent villain still needs to motivate his underlings and odds are your underlings will see self-enrichment as a cause worth at least the other guys' dying for (even themselves if you have good benefits for their next of kin!).
