True story. A restaurant my brother was working at was looking to hire new staff. One of the applications they received was from a Professor with a PhD.

I know that was a concern as well when I was a Shift Supervisor; the more overqualified someone was, the more you had to ask "Why are they bothering to apply here?" Most of the time it meant there was something the resume wasn't telling you or simply that this position was filler until they found something better... whether it was six weeks, six months or six years later. Even simply jobs where training time is just a few days, its annoying when after a week you've got to start over. =P

Oh yeah, I remember when I was 18 and down on my luck, looking for any work I could get. Tried to get a job pumping gas at a place that was applying... I was up against people with PhDs in Mechanical Engineering in one guy's case and the other was in Bio-Chem... I lost the job to the Mechanical Engineer. Because a kid down on his luck at age 18 won't stick around for a paycheck? xD

"Hey, this guy is a quadriplegic rogue/monk with prestige levels!"

"Eh, toss it in the maybe folder."

Throw on a couple levels of Egoist and it goes from gimp to cheese.

Rogue/Monk can be pretty devastating if done right.

There, I said it.
